Covid-19 UK: England and Wales recorded more deaths last year than anytime since 1918

ONS data shows England and Wales recorded 73,766 Covid deaths last year — 12 per cent of all fatalities. Covid caused 12.1 per cent of all fatalities in England and Wales and was the leading cause of death in men.
